The SCALAR project aims to foster sustainable climate action and adaptation in rural communities through adult education. It seeks to empower civic participation, particularly among older adults, by actively involving them in the creation of Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs). Additionally, the project focuses on training municipal technical staff to develop sustainable policies and establishing long-term networks for knowledge sharing and cooperation.
